I created this new persona, C. E. Ayr, just over two years ago, following the publication of Medville Matters, my book of Sound Bite Fiction, authored under that name
At the same time I set up this blog, to showcase my short stories, and to differentiate this writing from my previous poetry and rhyme.
I have in the interim posted around 200 Sound Bite Fictions, pretty much evenly divided between two excellent weekly photo challenges.
Rochelle Wisoff-Fields runs the superb 100-word Friday Fictioneers, an excellent test for concise writing.
My old chum Al Forbes is slightly more generous, allowing 200 words for his regular Sunday Photo Fiction entertainment.
I am deeply grateful to both for their time, support and encouragement dating back to my previous incarnation.
But now I have decided to inflict another aspect of my writing onto an unwary public.
I have been writing poetry for longer than I can remember, and have been fortunate enough to have encountered some musicians talented enough to transform my words into songs.
I find it fascinating to hear how others read and picture and convert my ideas into sounds.
To date the spectrum includes ballads, folk-rock-country, bluegrass and heavy metal!
I hope you will enjoy their creativity as much as I do.
